In the Creation account, many people insist that God really must have meant "millions of years" each time He said "day." As you can see, God explicitly describes each day as morning and evening, separated by light and darkness. Also, the sabbath day is patterned after the days of Creation, and it would be absurd to say that the sabbath is a period of millions of years. If fossils were really formed long before man arrived on earth, then there was death before man sinned. The whole Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ would be rendered a meaningless lie.
If we say it didn't happen in six days, then we call God
a liar!
