Exhibit 23K:  Evidence of a Global Flood

 The Petrified Forest

Was the Petrified Forest in Arizona formed by slow, uniform processes, or by a sudden, massive event? All evidence indicates these trees were transported and deposited by moving water over a short period of time!  The trees are actually logs that had their branches sheared off.  Today we know that this happens in the logging industry when trees are dumped into a river to be processed down stream.  Collisions with other trees and the river banks breaks off the branches leaving just logs when they arrive at their downstream destination.  The "Petrified Forest" is actually a "petrified log jam!"  Look at the picture below and see for yourself.  Also consider that these logs must have been petrified rapidly.  Otherwise they would have suffered decay and erosion before they could be preserved.

These logs are deposited over a wide area which is now mostly flat desert and are still on the surface of the ground.  Imagine the amount of water necessary to transport and deposit what was once a forest!  Also note that these logs settled out near the huge drainage basin of the Grand Canyon which is also in Arizona.

The Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, and Painted Desert in Arizona all indicate that an immense amount of water rapidly drained across this area in a short period of time.
